Construction vehicles are jostled in eyrichshof. Northeast of the kreisstrabe, exactly opposite the sports field of the ASC eyrichshof, the new premises of the company lang gmbh, which is currently still producing in the former barracks in ebern, are being built on an area of about 100 by 100 meters. Managing director is manfred lang.

Under the name "fertigungsservice ebern" (manufacturing service ebern) the company started in 2003. Its concept: the development and production of special packaging solutions for machine components. An assembly and manufacturing service rounds off the offer. In 2011, the company moved into the former maintenance halls of the german army in the "alte kaserne" industrial area to. An extensive raw material warehouse with steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics, including cutting and service, was set up here to supply a machine tool manufacturer.

The range of services offered to customers has expanded steadily, for example with welding and assembly technology, material finishing and cnc milling and turning technology. 2013 the construction of a mechanical production followed. The training of junior staff is close to the company’s heart; since 2014, it has been training machinists/specialists in milling and turning technology.

Since the capacities at the current production site are no longer sufficient, a hall at another location has already had to be rented, according to company boss manfred lang. "It was foreseeable that we would not be able to develop further at our current location", says the entrepreneur, which is why the company built the land in eyrichshof between the halls of the former heinerle company and the "specke" considered.

The head of the company was satisfied with the handling of the building law, in which the city of ebern had supported him in an excellent way. "Of course, there are always hurdles that have to be overcome in such cases, and we had planned to start construction a little earlier, but now the time has come.", manfred lang is pleased. He hopes that, weather permitting, the three-million-euro project will be completed by february 2021.

24 jobs have the company currently. How it develops depends on various factors, says the entrepreneur. According to him, the current problems are the sluggish automotive industry and the difficult environment in the mechanical engineering sector. Lang is nevertheless confident that his company will continue to thrive.

The company lang is, as the managing director manfred lang assures, deeply rooted in franconia and in the region of bamberg/coburg. It is a matter of course for him to call for local projects in the habberge district.
